Ask anyone that is familiar with the Saphir Médaille d'Or brand to name the first product that comes to mind and it will probably be Renovateur. Most people know that Renovateur is a great leather conditioner that will renovate the most dried out leathers, but what most people do not seem to realize is that Renovateur is also a cleaner. Due to that Saphir Médaille d'Or Renvovateur is not a do-it-all product and you should never only use Renovateur since it will clean (off) the top layer of shoe polish and open up the pores of the leather preparing it to absorb the oils and the waxes from the shoe creams and waxes that follow. Not using any cream or wax after having applied Saphir Médaille d’Or Renovateur leaves the leather exposed to moisture and dirt. We recommend using Saphir Médaille d'Or Pommadier cream and/or Saphir Médaille d'Or Pate de Luxe for added protection, colouring and shine.
